With a trailer due to drop any day now, Paramount Pictures is stoking anticipation for Transformers: Age of Extinction by dropping new photos from the set of the upcoming sequel. Besides offering us up sweaty pics of the film’s stars Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz, we get a new glimpse of a beefed up Optimus Prime.

Wahlberg plays an inventor who discovers a Transformer and gets drawn into a new conflict between the Autobots and Decepticons. Age of Extinction – thankfully – will be Shia LaBeouf-free.

Other than the fact that the new film takes place several years after the events in Dark of the Moon – and that it’s not a reboot – details on Age of Extinction have been scarce. But in a recent interview with Yahoo! Movies director Michael Bay promised a more “cinematic” film for the series’ fourth instalment.

“I wanted the first Transformers to be very suburban and less cool,” Bay said. “This is a much more cinematic one. I focused on keeping this one slick. There won’t be any goofiness in this one. We went a bit too goofy [on the last one].”

You can check out this recent video Entertainment Tonight shot during a visit to the Detroit set below.

Transformers: Age of Extinction opens June 27, 2014.
